Dr. Eric Jayne is an Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. For the majority of his veterinary career, he has worked as a mixed animal practitioner.  Since 2000, Dr. Jayne has also collaborated with the Humane Society of the United States in Arkansas, Alaska and Hawaii. His work with HSUS has steered him into working with many different animal rescue groups, primarily providing high-volume spay neuter services.

In Arkansas, Dr. Jayne is currently Medical Director at Spay Arkansas; he also works with Wynne Animal Rescue and Paragould Animal Welfare Society. Dr. Jayne has helped these groups establish a program to recruit and train veterinary students in spay/neuter work.  He is also involved with animal care education in rural Alaska through the Alaska Care and Husbandry Instruction for Lifelong Living (A-CHILL) program and veterinary care in Native American Sovereign Nations. Dr. Jayne looks forward to working with HSVMA on veterinary and animal welfare issues in Arkansas.
